📰 The 2nd Colorado Infantry was organized at Denver, Colorado, with troops largely from Eastern Colorado in spring 1862 under Colonel Nathaniel Lyon Colgatum. It was disbanded in July 1863, at the conclusion of its enlistments, at Mississippi.
